SUBJECT: List of Aircraft ASN Permanently Removed from Service

This Service Information Letter provides a list of aircraft ASN that have been permanently removed from service because Cirrus Aircraft considers them to be nonrepairable. This list is provided to owners and operators as ameans to communicate that any purchase of an aircraft represented to be one of the following serial numbers is not considered by Cirrus Aircraft to be a Cirrus Aircraft airplane, rather a conglomeration of Cirrus Aircraft parts assembled around a data plate - essentially a “counterfeit aircraft.”

Report from the European certification authority, JAA, after testing the Cirrus SR20 for stall/spin characteristics resulting in a recommendation to authorize an Equivalent Level of Safety conformance to the European standards.

Documents the background positions of the FAA certification process used by Cirrus Design to obtain an Equivalent Level of Safety for certification in the United Stated. Documents the results of a selected set of tests of the stall/spin characteristics of the SR20. Recommends changes to the AFM regarding CAPS deployment for spins.

The Avidyne Entegra PFD log file from the CAPS pull #12 near Luna, NM, in SR22 N953CD on April 9, 2007. This is a large text file with over 33,000 records extracted from the PFD covering about 90 minutes of flight data. The file contains a legend that explains (sort of) the values of data for each record. Aircraft attitude data is recorded 5 times per second and GPS data recorded once per second. The accident sequence begins approximately 17:55:00.
