8037.Cessna 414 Brochure rev B 2009-06-29.pdf
I hate making this post. After hearing from our main client last week that they are cutting our budget by $800,000 annually I am having to make some hard choices. I currently own a Cessna 414A and a Cirrus SR22. I had planned to sell the Cirrus and keep the Cessna because of its additional capabilities (more seats, real known weather equipped, pressurized), but now I am having to reverse that decision. Don't get me wrong, the Cirrus is a great plane, it just doesn't have the same capabilities as the Cessna.
So, I have attached the prospectus for my aircraft (top of this post). It is listed at $495K. It was the sixth from the last Cessna 414 every built. It is a sweet plane that provides a LOT of capability for less than the price of a new Cirrus.
Full disclosure, there is damage history (see brochure). That is one reason the aircraft is affordable.
Sigh. I have really mixed feelings about this decision, so feel free to ignore the brochure.

Neil I am so sorry to hear this. I know how highly you spoke of your 414 being able to make trips the 22 could ill afford. I sincerely hope you pick up another client to make up the difference. Certainly is a beautiful ship.
The best cure for "wife ack" is to deploy chaff: $...$$....$....$$$.....$ .....$$$.....$ ....$$
Nice airplane,

Thanks. I am bummed to have to sell it. I thought I was going to make it through the recession without having to do so.
But, I still have a Cirrus, so whining would be bad form!
I have gotten a lot of response to the Cessna 414. I thought I would make a quick post saying it is (tentatively) sold (to a COPA member, in fact). If that deal falls through I will relist it.
Thanks!
Neil congratulations on selling your plane, I have plenty of times on 414 it is a nice a/c and I was considering selling my cirrus and get your plane.
Thanks -- it really is a great step-up option for Cirrus drivers.
