Today would have been Tom's 67th birthday! He always said "it's just another day" and we did not exchange birthday gifts. We took whatever we would have spent on birthdays and put it towards our annual Anguilla vacation. But......today I gave Tom something he wanted to see for five years....I finally broke 100 at golf!!! I had a 99 in my club's Labor Day tournament. He would have been thrilled. And despite the warnings of severe thunderstorms for this afternoon, the storm held off and I even saw a few small white planes fly overhead. I am sure it was Tom watching over the game. I even commented to myself that I was surprised to see planes flying when the threat of severe weather was imminent.
I am doing okay. Better than I ever thought I would be at this point. He would be so proud.
Semper Fi, Tom....may you rest in peace!
Love Always,
Deb
